Marc J. Isaacs is a lawyer with more than two decades of experience and is the founder of Isaacs & Associates, PLLC. He practices all aspects of real property and corporate law. He has broad and varied experience in corporate work and in commercial and residential transactional work, financing, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, commercial and residential leasing, representing investors, developers and cooperative and condominium boards.
Marc represents clients in the acquisition, sale, financing and development of residential, commercial, multi-family, retail and industrial properties. He also represents owners in the acquisition, sale and leasing of their commercial, office and warehouse space, shopping centers and retail stores. Further, he represents individuals, corporations and businesses in the rental of office and retail space and restaurants.
Marc’s clients include domestic and foreign investors who have acquired, sold and owned residential and commercial properties, and landlords and tenants relative to their respective rights, obligations and interests.
Marc serves as general counsel for foreign and domestic corporate clients in a variety of industries, including venture capital, apparel, real estate, financial, retail and publishing. He regularly represents clients in the areas of corporate, commercial and business law.
Marc has lectured to attorney and broker groups in connection with the continuing education requirements of the New York Department of State Division of Licensing Services, and has been quoted in the New York Times Real Estate Section as well as local newspapers in the New York metropolitan area. He has been called to provide expert legal opinion, testimony and declarations in the Israeli Supreme Court.
Born in New York, Marc received his J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University, where he was a member of the Law Review. While in law school, he worked for the Federal Communications Commission and in the White House Office of Information. He received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo with highest honors, and is admitted in New York and Connecticut. He is a member of numerous professional associations and their sections on real property law and corporate law. He is also counsel to and on the Board of Directors of not-for-profit organizations such as Westport Youth Film Festival (“WYFF”), “Boogie for Breast Cancer” and the Westport Basketball Association.
